World Map

How I wish I could take her to all these places. Hopefully, with early knowledge of culture and Geography and the many historial and fasinating things that await her to explore..it will foster a  desire to  travel the world in the future! She's off to a great start, she got a 100% on her World Map test today. Both on contients and oceans. What a remarkable sweet child. Here soon she will start a Bibilical Map Study! If I could go anywhere today, it wouldnt be to a tropical island it would be to explore Jerusalem. I heard a message from a man who went there recently and said he came back with an even deeper appreciation of Christ. Maybe we could stop on an island on the way back? I do live in NW Montana!!

This is a page from her`BJU Heritage Studies book. You can find many to choose from online for free.
We also use a free program for many subjects, www.sheppardsoftware.com. It has sections for self testing as well. LOVE it!! I would pay for it too. We have used it for years, now.

Upcoming...our A.R.K. School Room.

And then the leaves fell

Where has the time gone, it was just 70 here! Well October has come and gone and I ended the month with sore finger tips from all the needle pokes:). You would think one would learn after the first time, let alone after the 20th. I learned many new things during my sewing adventure...you in fact CAN sew your own finger in the sewing machine! That, my friends was a lesson learned for sure and one that will not be repeated:).
My month was filled with children asking when Halloween would get here and creating my own patterns and sewing a very creative TOOTHLESS costume for our sweet Roman. The outfit consisted of a replica hat of the face of our friend toothless, a tail and a cape with wings on the back, wings that extended when his arms were open.  Below you will see several fun photos of the kids on Hallo!
With Roman as Toothless,  Azah as Ariel and Krosby as the fuzzy baby owl, we were on our way. We walked around for nearly two hours and the kids enjoyed the rest of the evening defrosting with sugar.

Krosby is growing so fast, Azah and Roman have developed such an amazing relationship with Krosby.  Azah will try to copy Krosby's facial expressions and he starts to squeal and smile. When Roman tells Krosby how much he loves him, Krosby gets this goober slobber grin and gives him some smiling baby bedroom eyes. Our children make Danny and I better people!

We hope the upcoming Feast and prep go easy for all. We are hosting this year and the Sandpoint Petrina's will be coming! Its been years since they have been able to make it. Britney will be home from the USAFA! Along with Michelle and Martin. A full to the brim toasty roasty Thanksgiving we are looking forward too!
Be Blessed

A family of FIVE!

Our bundle of joy arrived on August 15th....Krosby Patrick Petrina. We, as all of you have, waited anxiously to find out the gender of this sweet life.....our little miracle is a BOY. I feel so blessed that we waited to find out the gender until birth and saved our names until after, as well. Having my husband tell me what we had and seeing the joy in his face as he found out, are memories I will savor forever.
The sweetest little treat, sleeping through the night since birth. I say its a boy thing, as Roman slept through the night from birth as well! I embrace the sleep and am grateful.

We are back into school, I was not planning on taking time off, but it did get to the point of being a necessity. I only had a month of bedrest this time, with Roman is was for three very LONG months. This pregnancy proved to be the easiest, even with the month of contractions at the end. I was very surprised that we were able to get to 39 weeks. The last three weeks were painful with hours per day of contractions 2-3 minutes apart, but I never progressed. I was wiped out by 39 wks. The strongest contractions seemed to come at night as well.
Another blessing, Danny was able to take a month off of work!! What a great help he was. So, trying to savour every minute with our new addition and Daddy, we took that month off from studies! Two months and the kids were ready to begin. Its been fun so far. The kids are amazing and so very smart. By the end of our school year Azah will wrap up her work in 1st and 2nd grade subjects. We still work on Kinder fun with Roman so she still gets that age appropriate kraft time in! ON that note, you should see the cards she makes, beyond that KG level lol. Roman can write his name and as promised he earned TOY STORY SHEETS!! He knows many things like his phone number:).

Krosby currently is headed into six weeks of age. I AM working on those thank you cards and photo announcement. But with school, the house, a newborn, recovering from the csection (more hormonal than anything:)), be patient with me:). I do have a flicker acct and if you wish can send you an email so you can view our photos. Just reply here or email us at inspiredbyinks@yahoo.com.

Be Blessed Family and Friends and until we post again, here is a sweet photo of the week.

The top photo is with Azah and Krosby's feet, the one right above, is all three Petrina blessings.
